Free style movement maps are a part of healing our relationships with our bodies.

These movement maps are body-led. The mind is in the back seat. Thoughts might try to speak up. Push them away if possible.

Listen to the feelings. Listen to the sensations tracing your skin. Listen to your heart, your toes, your belly. Listen to your muscles. Your muscle memory. The music.

Listen.

There is no right or wrong. Kick perfectionism out the door. Close your eyes if you must. Cover the mirrors. Focus on your internal world, or a spot on the wall/floor. Breathe. Move. Feel. Create.

Challenge what is valid. Challenge what is beautiful or powerful. You are valid. Your movement is valid. You are power. You are beauty. You are alive.
